HBO’s hot new show, “Girls” has already proved itself to be fresh, bold and not your typical show about female room mates/best friends. Unlike HBO’s Sex and The City, Girls gives a more realistic look at life for a young adult in New York City. With out the glamour and with the uncomfortable sex scenes, Girls is the awkward little sister of the women’s dramas we’ve become accustom to.

The following are interview responses you would expect to hear from the protagonists of each series.

Sex and The City: “Carrie” portrayed by Sarah Jessica Parker
Girls: “Hannah” portrayed by Lena Dunham

What would you say is your favorite part of NYC?
Carrie: The fabulous fashion and interesting people that are the muse to my work.
Hannah: There’s this funny homeless guy who I heard fart once. He slightly resembles Mr. Belding from “Saved By The Bell.” I’d do ‘em.

What is your favorite “statement piece” to wear when out on the town?
Carrie: My Marc Jacobs anything really. He’s my go-to.
Hannah: The one pair of leggings I own that actually doesn’t have a hole in the crotch from doing lunges in the break room out of pizza guilt.

When did you first know you wanted to become a writer?
Carrie: I think I always knew. Some things you’re just born with, you know?
Hannah: I still don’t really “know,” I just enjoy it. I over analyze a lot, so I figure, why not write it down and if I can make money then… nice, a new pair of leggings/box of pizza for the weekend.

What is your favorite song?
Carrie: Cyndi Lauper’s “Girl’s Just Wanna Have Fun” has been my ringtone since ’98.
Hannah: I really like the song in that shampoo commercial. I sing it literally ever day in the shower. You know that, “Tresemme, Tresemme, Ou, La! La!” one.

Moment of Truth: If you could be anyone else in the World, who would you be?
Carrie: Liza Minnelli. She is fabulous, vibrant and sassy.
Hannah: I would be my grade 6 teacher Mrs. Duncan. She could walk on her hands backwards and told us she met Kenny G at a flea market once.  Kenny, fucking, G. She also had a hot silver fox boyfriend. Good lord.
