Dating Site For Stoners Loses Momentum, Fails To Launch

A mockup of the 420 Dating homepage was designed during a brief period of creative inspiration, but the idea didn't go any further.

Tucson, AZ – 420 Dating, an idea for a dating site that matches people with a mutual passion for smoking pot, was officially forgotten about by the site’s conceivers yesterday, according to sources. It never launched, or even came close.

The idea was born amongst friends late one night in the apartment of Sam Shepard, after smoking a particularly potent strain of purple haze out of Mr. Shephard’s vaporizer. The group was so enthusiastic about the idea that Kim Schwartz, a 27 year old graphic designer, mocked up a homepage. But by the next day the idea had mostly, well, vaporized.

“I barely remember what we ever talk about, to be honest,” Mr. Shepard said. “We get all excited to do these things, but the momentum never really carries over. It’s like either we make it happen, right then and there, or it won’t happen at all.” The team has since moved on to another possible invention: the Munchee Machine, a portable snack dispenser that doubles as a bong.
